A small pond on the eastern foot of Namsan. A pavilion called Iyodang sits at the edge and its shadow stretches across the water. In summer lotus and crape myrtle crowd the shore. The name comes from an old tale in which a Silla king was saved by a letter. Far fewer people come here than to the city-center sites, so it is a good place to sit and breathe.
