Founded in 634 under Queen Seondeok. The pagoda, built of stone cut like bricks, now has only three storeys left yet is counted among Korea's oldest. The courtyard is small and quiet. It is also linked to the monk Wonhyo. Bunhwangsa and the Hwangnyongsa site are an easy walk apart.
