A boardwalk runs through the wetland at the head of Gwangju Lake. Reeds and water give way to forest paths, and in autumn the leaves mirror in the lake. The pavilion villages that nurtured gasa poetry are nearby, so Sikyeongjeong and Soswaewon make an easy add-on. Entry is free and parking is plentiful.
