The tree said to be the first cornelian cherry planted here, brought from Shandong, stands in Gyecheok village. It is old and leans on supports, yet it flowers every year. In March, festival season, the whole village turns yellow, and in autumn the red fruit gives it a different look. The pleasure is walking the stone-walled village lanes around it.
