A museum stands right by the harbour. On the third floor, the Modern Life Hall rebuilds a whole 1930s Gunsan street, so you walk past shopfronts and signs from that era. The exhibits trace Gunsan's history as a rice-export port under Japanese rule, and the Time Travel Village alleys of Wolmyeong-dong start just outside.
