In Chae Man-sik's novel Tangnyu, this is where the Jeong family first steps ashore. The wharf once held a fish market, and the 1970s–80s feel survives in the buildings. Many shops are shuttered and signs are faded, with redevelopment under way. The film The Attorney used it as a stand-in for Busan.
