Colourful French-style houses climb a hill above Cheongpyeong Lake. Lanes hold small museums, a performance space and shops, and the stairs make for good photo stops. Steps and slopes are steep and narrow, so strollers struggle. It is close enough to Seoul for a half-day trip.
