A wide sand beach opens onto the East Sea, with only a road between it and Gyeongpo Lake. The sand is fine and the stretch is long, good for walking barefoot, and a pine grove sits behind it. Summer fills it with swimmers, but in autumn and winter you mostly get the sound of waves. Go out before sunrise and you can watch the horizon turn red without much of a crowd.
