This street beside Jungang Market fills with tents whenever an event comes around. From October 15 to 18 the Gangneung Noodle Festival serves janchilguksu, makguksu and jjamppong. There are noodle-making sessions and a cooking contest. Outside the festival, a night market runs Friday and Saturday evenings through the end of October.
