Cabbage fields stack up like steps along a 1,100m ridge. Wind turbines turn slowly on the skyline, and on some days the clouds drift below you. The name comes from 'anban', the wooden block used for pounding rice cake. With so few lights at night, photographers come for the stars and the Milky Way. People farm and live here, so stay out of the fields.
