In mid-April the upper slopes of Goryeosan turn solid pink with azaleas. The popular route climbs from Dolmen Park past Baengnyeonsa; the Gukhwa-ri side via Cheongnyeonsa is shorter. During the festival cars are stopped and you walk from temporary lots. Go early on weekends.
