Yang San-bo (1503-1557) came home and built this garden after his mentor fell in a political purge. A stream runs right through the middle, and a wall is set over it so the water passes beneath. Sit on the veranda of Gwangpunggak after rain and all you hear is water and bamboo. The higher Jewoldang hall looks down over the whole layout. It is small, and an hour is plenty.
