Daejeon itineraries
Old Downtown on Foot
Step off the train, pick up a bag of bread and spend the day inside the old downtown. Cafe alley, the old provincial hall, the market and a plate of spicy tofu are all within walking distance, so no car needed.
Hot Springs to Expo Park
Day one is a Yuseong footbath and the Expo grounds; day two is the Dunsan woods and a hilltop park. Subway line 1 plus a few taxis cover everything.
Clay Trail, Lake and Redwoods
Drive the outer ring of Daejeon: barefoot on the red-clay trail, the shore of Daecheong Lake, the Jangtaesan forest, then bread and the market downtown on the last day.
