The main hall of the old Chungnam Provincial Office, built in 1932, is now the exhibition space. Photos, models and period objects trace how Daejeon grew from a railway village into a major city. The corridors, staircases and tall windows keep the original look and are worth a glance on their own. Entry is free, and it works well as the first stop on a walk through the old downtown’s modern architecture.
