Chungju itineraries
River, pagoda, swing bridge
Catch the KTX-Eum from Cheongnyangni and you get the Tangeumdae pine woods before lunch, makguksu by the pagoda at noon, the Sujupalbong swing bridge in the afternoon and an evening train home. Chungju's river scenery in one loop.
Lake cruise, hot-spring night
Day one is a boat ride on Chungju Lake and a walk through the lakeside woods, then over to Suanbo at dusk to sink into the hot spring. Day two winds down at a temple site below Haneuljae and a cafe at the foot of Crocodile Peak.
River boats, hanok, bridge, spa
Day one folds paper boats at Mokgye Naru and grills in a hanok yard, day two takes in Tangeumdae and Sujupalbong before the Suanbo hot spring, and day three circles a temple site on the way home. A loose order that works with kids and grandparents together.
