The island sits in the middle of the Bukhan River, so you cross on a short ferry. Tall trees line the paths almost from the landing, and in autumn even the ground turns yellow. Peacocks and ducks wander past walkers without a care. The address is Chuncheon, but the ferry leaves from Gapyeong.
