Cheongju itineraries
Jikji to Seongan-gil
One museum, one mural alley, one old tobacco factory, then the downtown strip at dusk. No car needed; two short taxi rides cover it.
Fortress Loop, Lake Day
Day one walks the Sangdang Fortress walls and sleeps near Myeongam reservoir; day two heads down to Cheongnamdae on Daecheong Lake. Easiest with a car.
Osong In, Ochang Out
Arrive at Osong by KTX, split the old downtown, the fortress and Daecheong Lake over three days, then wind down at Ochang Lake before catching the train home. Lots of walking.
