The market grew out of a trading spot beside the Musimcheon embankment and now has about 1,600 stalls. Vegetables, dried fish, side dishes and tableware pile up in every lane, and more stalls appear on market days. Snacks like jeon, tteokbokki and sundae are eaten standing in the aisles. Seongan-gil is a walk away. Closing times vary by shop, so go earlier in the afternoon.
