A tall iron pole stands in the middle of a shopping district. Cast in 962, it once held a temple banner in front of the old Yongdusa. It is National Treasure No. 41, and an inscription on the third iron section records why it was made. You can just look up on your way past, or stop and hunt for the lettering.
