On the slope of Mt. Taejosan a 15m bronze Buddha sits above the city, weighing 60 tons. The temple dates from 1975, so the painted beams are still bright. Looking up from the courtyard in front of the main hall, the scale hits you. In mid-April double cherry blossoms cover the grounds.
