Ride the Donghae Line about 20 minutes north from Haeundae and you reach a small crescent of sand. No tower blocks here, just low village roofs, a red and a white lighthouse on the breakwaters, and calm water, so it feels far more like a country beach than Haeundae or Gwangalli. The water is shallow and gentle, easy with kids. Sea-view cafes, noodle shops and eel restaurants line the front. Haedong Yonggungsa and Osiria are on the same line, so a Gijang day trip comes together easily.
