A temple perched on cliffs right over the sea. Unlike most temples hidden in mountains, this one has 108 steps and tiled halls beside rocks where waves crash. It is said to have been founded in 1376 by the monk Naong at the end of Goryeo. At sunrise people arrive early to watch the sun come up over the water. Inside the halls, keep voices low; zodiac statues line the entrance.
