This was the home of Maeng Sa-seong, a high minister of early Joseon. Designated Historic Site No. 109, it is counted among the oldest surviving dwellings in Korea. Two ginkgo trees about 600 years old stand beside the main house, said to be planted by him. A slow walk out to the Gugoejeong pavilion behind it takes under an hour.
