Past the gate, the long pavilion Mandaeru fills the view, and between its pillars the Byeongsan cliff and the Nakdong River frame up like a painting. Sit on its wooden floor and time slows. The academy is plain and opens itself to the landscape. In summer the crape myrtles in the yard bloom red.
